You are to research the following areas of and questions about the UK economy:

Actual GDP for each of the last 10 years

GDP growth for each of the last 10 years

Unemployment for each of the last 10 years

CPI Inflation for each of the last 10 years

Interest rates for each of the last 10 years

Average house prices for each of the last 10 years

£/$ and £/€ exchange rates for each of the last 10 years

Who or what sets interest rates in the UK?

What is “forward guidance”?

What is “quantitative easing”?

How can taxes and interest rates be used to stimulate economic growth?

Prepare a 10 page (maximum) power point presentation to document the results of your research

Use a minimum of 3 websites to conduct your research and state all of your sources in your presentation document. We strongly recommend that you do NOT use Wikipedia in your research.
