POSITION PURPOSE
The Sr. HR Generalist will primarily focus on managing a comprehensive companywide benefit programs and building
vendor relationships and full cycle recruitment. You will administer all benefit related activities including benefit renewals,
orientations, open enrollment, wellness programs and day to day administration and reconciliation. In this role you will also
be responsible for leading the full cycle recruitment and selection process for open positions at all levels within the
organization including professional and managerial roles with focus on our headquarters location.and assisting with other
general human resource functions as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – Other Duties May Be Assigned





















Maintains professional competence, knowledge and skills necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned
responsibilities. Keeps abreast of existing and new employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
Applies fundamental business and human resource concepts to establish and maintain effective work relationships
with associates and managers. Proactively counsels associates and managers on various human resource issues,
assisting in resolving personnel-related problems.
Acts as the HIPPA privacy official. Ensures that all HIPAA requirements are met.
Analyzes and recommends plan design changes, program enhancements, and cost savings ideas.
Conducts audits on benefit processes, system content and files as needed.
Creates and maintains the benefit details in HRIS, and works with field HR associates to ensure content is current
and accurate.
Works with associates to promote health and wellness in the workplace; develops and maintains programs,
distributes educational and resource materials, and provides learning opportunities for associates.
Ensures compliance and participates in government or internal audits. Provides information to prepare reports, legal
documents, or government required reports.
Assists in the planning and budgeting process to ensure program costs are realized and budgeted accordingly.
Develop a recruiting strategy for internal and external recruitment for all open positions, including determining
appropriate and cost effective recruitment sources and methods.
Coordinates innovative and competitive Recruitment Programs and develops viable sourcing avenues.
Writes and places employment ads and job listings to be utilized in recruitment.
Screens candidates and conducts full in-person behavioral-style interviews with viable candidates.
Provides feedback to HR management pertaining to recruiting trends, issues, barriers, etc.
Conducts necessary administrative activities in the recruitment and hiring process and maintains recruiting records
according to company policies and state/federal laws.
Conducts thorough reference and background checks on selected candidates.
Proactively maintains the HRIS system to ensure ongoing data integrity. Develops and prepares regular and special
reports for management to assist in attainment of company objectives.
Maintains paper and electronic personnel records in accordance to company practices and federal regulations
ensuring the effective recording, maintenance and reporting of personnel-related information. Handles information
in a confidential manner.
Develops and maintains all human resource records according to government regulations and company policy.
Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in the efficiency of the HR
department and the services provided to managers, supervisors and associates.
Develops and revises human resources documents, procedures, forms and assists in the development of policies.
SCOPE

This position is the HR business partner for the management team and has an indirect reporting relationship to the
site director or manager (if applicable). May also provide occasional support to other company locations.

This position has a direct impact on the reputation the company maintains in the highly competitive employment
marketplace. The HR department will most often be the first point of contact for any associate and must be sensitive
applicant goodwill and company public image.
Works independently to facilitate the objectives of the department under minimal direction.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE





Bachelor’s degree in HR, business or related field or equivalent experience.
5+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources with strong generalist abilities that include professional and
managerial level recruiting. Certified Internet Recruiter a plus.
3+ years experience managing multiple benefit plans.
Technically proficient with previous HRIS experience.
CEBS and/or PHR/SPHR certification is desirable.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS


Standard office environment. Stress may occur with tight deadlines and long hours. Minimal travel may be
required.
Standard physical activity such as standing, walking, and basic motor skills to access computer files for information,
data entry or document creation. Sitting for extended periods.
