Introduction to management. The main scientific schools,
theories and concepts of management. The concept of
patterns and principles of management and their
classification. Functions of management (planning,

The main aim of the Marketing course is to familiarize
students with main, basic concepts of marketing
management. Attendees will gain knowledge of the role
of marketing in a modern company and understanding of
the idea of product value and the relation between
company and its customers. Students will gain the ability
to use different marketing tools (product, price, place,
promotions) in order to create aforementioned value as
well as to communicate and deliver it to the market.
LECTURE TOPIC:
Introduction to marketing - conceptions of marketing,
definitions of marketing, the role of marketing in a
modern company. Marketing information system.
Marketing research, market segmentation, product
positioning. Characteristics of 4P-Marketing. Marketing
micro- and macro-environment, consumer behavior on
B2C and B2B market. Key factors involved in and
influencing consumer buying process (social, personal,
psychological). Functions of marketing management
(planning, organization, control).

After the completion of the course with the positive result, student
will understand the concept of entrepreneurship in different areas
of social living. Participation in the course will help students to
recognize entrepreneurial attitude and value the risk related to
entrepreneurial behavior as well asappreciate the influence of
entrepreneurship on creating and growing the business
organizations. During the course students will come across the
principles of planning and implementing the entrepreneurial
activities, also in the international work ing environment.
The aim of the classes is to create or improve in student the ability
of analyzing opportunities to launch and run the new business in
specified market conditions. After the completion all of the classes
student will be able to use knowledge obtained during the lectures
in practice.Additionally, classes will improve student group work
skills and presentation abilities.
The concept of entrepreneurship – term and types of
entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial organizations. Entrepreneur –
characteristic and role of entrepreneurial people. Entrepreneurial
attitude and orientation. Internaland external entrepreneurship.
Entrepreneurship as the process – identifying and analyzing
entrepreneurial opportunities. Risk –types of risk and methods how
to manage it. Influence of entrepreneurial attitude on the level of
risk. Planning the entrepreneurial projects – analyzing the
resources and conditions of entrepreneurial plans implementation.
