The VP of Cost Containment will manage the formulation of overall objectives, products and processes for the Cost Containment Services Units of Broadspire, with a strong focus on the role of technology in day-to-day functions. This person will assist sales staff in developing new accounts, negotiating contracts, and retention of current clients. He/She will oversee a team of 4 who are responsible for the day to day operations of these cost containment programs. What will this person be responsible for at Broadspire? Provide feedback on cost containment services by recommending solutions to staffing, expense reduction, process flows and technology inefficiencies. Apply financial acumen to management of Cost Containment Units; analyzes expenditures and considers ways to reduce them when possible. Understand the role of technology in cost containment services and maintains strong technology infrastructure. Allow technology to "lead" in how the Cost Containment unit is organized. Stay abreast of new technology developments in the industry and market demands for services; develop new products to meet client and market demand. Closely monitor data management and data flow processes. Develop work processes that optimize production volume. Assists account executives with sales presentations as needed. Work with sales force to establish appropriate pricing. Handle sales contracts and agreements. Build strong client relationships by maintaining regular contact with clients; introduce corrective measures when there are client problems. Ensure that the work performed for clients is in accord with sales contracts and agreements. Examine and develop new opportunities with existing technology used in Cost Containment units. Attend conferences and seminars and participates in special projects as requested. Who are we looking for? This position requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The selected candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience with 5 years in managed care with emphasis on workers compensation.
