ASSESSMENT WEEK SCHEDULE – JANUARY 19TH – 29th / 2015
There will be no school the mornings of January 13th and 14th while the ELA 30 and Social 30 Diploma Exams are being
written. There will be classes in the afternoon, period 1 and 3 on the 13 th and period 4 and 5 on the 14th.
During the Assessment Weeks, which begin on January 19th, students should be in the building when they have
scheduled assessments, activities or meetings/tutorials with teachers. They are welcome to work or study from home
when they are not scheduled. Please note that in addition to this schedule, teachers may request that a student come in
for additional assessments or course completion.
Students that are in need of Credit Rescue may have mandatory attendance during Assessment Weeks and this
will be communicated with parents and students.
Please remember assessment is an ongoing process that happens throughout the course not just during assessment
weeks. Assessment week is another opportunity for students to show their mastery of outcomes/competencies and
practice their skills such as test taking, timed responses or the analysis/synthesis of complex ideas.
