Some suffixes also change a word’s part of speech. For example, all the vocabulary words in this lesson are verbs, created by adding the suffixes –ize, -ify, and –ate to root words. You will exercise your talents (or perhaps discover or awaken some dormant talents! You will be selecting a historical figure and either writing a creative story or developing a graphic novel.
