The Corollary Crowd:
Quadratic Formula
Opening Song: [all sing]
Here's the story of a lovely lady
Who was bringing up three very lovely belles.
All of them had minds of gold, like their mother,
The youngest one in precal.
Here's the store, of a man named Corollary,
Who was busy with three boys of his own,
They were four men, living all together,
Yet they were all alone.
Till the one day when the lady met this fellow
And they knew what it was when they vowed,
That this group would somehow form a family.
That's the way we all became the Corollary Crowd.
The Corollary Crowd,
That's the way we all became the Corollary Crowd.
The Corollary Crowd.

You could sing the song you guys always sing on the bus.
Marcia:
No, there’s too many parts in that song
Alice:
it’s one song, one part
Greg:
No Alice, voice parts.
Jan:
[TAD BIT ANNOYED] Bobby, what are you humming?
Bobby:
Row Row Row Your Boat. We learned it yesterday in preschool.
Peter:
You could always sing that.
Cindy:
No it’s too babyish for cool ole’ Marcia.
Greg:
You could always sing that melody with the quadratic formula in place of the words.
Marcia:
Oh yeah, I remember that song. [SINGS]
X equals negative b plus or minus square root
B squared minus four a – c
Divided by two a
Jan:
Marcia, you sound grand
Carol:
And Greg, that was a grand idea
Mike:
Look at that Corollary Crowd teamwork!
Alice:
Look, Marcia, look. See, Marcia, see. See the school bus. See the school bus pull down
the street. See, Marcia, see.
Peter:
Oh yeah guys it’s here
Bobby:
Here’s your chance to warm up Marcia.
Mike:
Bye kids. Look at our kids. So big, riding the school bus, to the land of mathematics. I am
so proud.

With 24 seats

It’s the cool bus
Everyone likes to ride the school bus
It’s the cool bus
Greg:
The wheels are round
With a diameter of 18 inches
Marcia:
If circumference is 2 pie r
Cindy:
Or pie d
Marcia:
Then the circumference of the wheel is 56.5
Greg:
actually its 56.5486/67/76
All:
Huh?
The school bus
It’s the cool bus
Everyone likes to ride the school bus

Alice:
Not both of you can fit in it.
Cindy:
Okay, Marcia, let’s get YOU into your costume
Announcer:
Next up, Ms. Mary Jane Docks singing Row Row Row Your Boat.
Mary Jane:
Hey Guys, this is a little twist I prepared. Ah hem Mistro.
Row, row, row your boat,
Gently down the stream.
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily,
Life is but a dream.
Propel, Propel, Propel your craft
Placidly down the liquid solution
Ecstatically, ecstatically, ecstatically, ecstatically,
Existence is but an illusion.
Announcer:
Thank you Mary Jane. Next up Marcia Corollary with the Quadratic formula song.
Marcia:
Hey guys, I know you just heard Row Row Row Your Boat and all, but I put some great
new lyrics to it that take it to the next level.
Greg:
[ECHOS] Next level
Marcia:
Hit it. [SINGS]
X equals negative b plus or minus square root
