Macroeconomics Extra Credit Opportunities:
1)
Illustrate GDP: Take the GDP formula GDP=C+I+G+XN and
illustrate each of the elements as they are connected to a
nation. Make sure the illustration is colored and in the order of
the GDP formula. Each letter represented in the formula
should have an illustration that EXPLAINS it! Your illustration
should have 6 drawings that show the function of the formula.
Also make sure to pick a country you wish to show this formula
for and that your work looks professional when you submit your
work.

Fiscal Policy: Create a tax policy that will make the government
revenues in a certain area. Make sure you explain why you wish
to tax the citizens and where the money will go. Assignment
must be typed in Times New Roman, 1” margins on all sides, and
a minimum of 2 pages double-spaced. Economic reasoning using
economic terms is a REQUIREMENT.

Letter to Congress: If you were able to create a way to make
all underground economic activities included in our overall
GDP, the level of GDP could rise in our nation close to 10-15%.
Brainstorm some ideas on ways that you think we could
decrease the amount of underground economic activity. Once
you have a good idea with some good points behind it, compose
a letter to David A. Purdue or Johnny Isakson (your state
senators) that gives them your idea and your theory behind it to
help increase the nation’s overall GDP. **Note—if your idea
regards illegal substances, make sure your theory is sound, or
you will not receive credit for this assignment. This assignment
must be typed in Times New Roman, 1” margins on all sides, and
a minimum of 2 pages double-spaced.

Types of Unemployment: Given the three types of
unemployment structural, frictional, & cyclical. Give three indepth (minimum of 9 sentences) examples of each type of
unemployment. **That would be a total of 9 examples. These
examples must be labeled and typed in Times New Roman and
have 1” margins on all sides. In addition to the above, you need
to create a graphic organizer illustrating how each type of
unemployment contrast with the other categories and
incorporate your examples within the graphic organizer. Your
work must look neat and professional upon submission.
