Treasure’s Report
Membership brought in an extra$11-12k. WAT numbers are coming in higher than expected so Cynthia
feels we have about $13k extra to spend and the budget is covered.
Corporate Matching- extra advertising seems to be working.



Membership matched $8600
WAT $5600
Field Trip $1500
Field Trip donations still coming in but short. Only 65% have returned a donation, less than last year.
Communication within the classroom seems to vary on the return rate. Some classes at 50%, some at
90%. Erica Osman suggests we send an email to the room parent to ask for per trip requests prior to
asking for money. Also have teachers put the request for upfront donation in the classroom newsletter.
New Business
Soccer Club- Was a successful fall event. Mike Hu discussed continuing the program. Has contacts within
the major club leagues. Willing to negotiate a program with them to come in for free and we promote
their league in turn. Possibly a 4-6 week clinic in Jan to promote the leagues summer camps and fall
registration. Mike will also ask them to also donate more balls or bring their own. He will also need
more volunteers, will ask some Noddin parents that coach.

Training 4-5th to also be “leaders” during the event. They need more resources, balls,
cones
Consider paying the PE teacher to help with the lunch event
Not just soccer, the goal is to keep them active. Basketball, volleyball, softball etc
Kelly asked he put a list together of what all he needs/wants and playground rules
Stacia will look into the possibility of doing volleyball in addition to soccer club
Take Home Book Program- Mrs. Dimas noticed we don’t have enough guided reading books for our
younger readers. We need more books the students can take home. 1/3 of 1st graders are below grade
level. We need more materials so they can better practice. Noddin and the district will put in money and
would like HSC to also. She is also looking into more books for the advanced readers.
She is also working with and training a few teachers to better teach reading. Currently focusing on K-2.
Mrs Dimas is asking for $4k to purchase K-3 books. Noddin and district to put in other 2/3. Mondo is the
company that sells these books. Once we approve the money, she can order before the break, books
can be here in Jan. Erica Osman proposed having another teacher teach how to read as Mrs. Lissow did

Erica Osman made a motion to give Mrs. Dimas $4k (our portion of the $12k cost) to purchase
the take home books. Ashleigh Coffeng seconded the motion. All approved.
Principal report
Mrs. Dimas and Dr. Horejs met with the actual architect and they did make the playground and daycare
changes we requested at the meeting. She feels they really listened to our requests. No two story
buildings and they did not remove the Kinder parking lot. Two stories are not feasible for our site size
and much more expensive. They would need two stairwells and elevator. If bond passes, priorities will
then be set as to what is built first. Teachers are requesting more flexible learning space, but not outside
as originally proposed. Mrs. Dimas wants the multi-purpose room to be more flexible and allow for
break apart sections with moveable, dividing walls. The district is making 21st century class rooms are a
huge focus.
Parent Ed Night- 70 parents to learn about Common Core and how it impacts our students.
Science Camp Scholarships – requests will start coming in. Mrs. Dimas has changed the application
process for the students. Once she has some applications she will discuss them with HS&C
STAR AR license program renewal and increase is active. All 1-5 students have username and passwords
now. Gave awards to the ‘highest points’ winners for AR testing in the 3rd -5th.
Old Business
Laminator – Kelly has done some research, they are around $4k. Mrs. Dimas is asking we budget for the
expense. Teachers keep asking for a new one. We really need a hot laminator with a timer. Erica Osman
made a motion to budget up to $5k for a laminator with an extended warranty. Krissy Brooks seconds.
All approved.
Committee Updates
Spirit Store- made about $950 in sales. Small sizes of sweatshirts and t’s are sold out. Would like to
order more and needs to order a min of 72 pieces. Adults and teachers are asking for shirts to buy. Mary
needs $850 for the second order. Kelly Masini mentioned she doesn’t need approval for the 2nd order if
operating within her budget. Cynthia would like to change her income/expense within our operating
budget. Erica Osman made a motion to approve the budget changes made by Cynthia to increase the
Spirit Store income and expense to allow for Mary Ellen to purchase more clotting items. Krissy Brooks
second the motion. All approved.
