• Any individual who wants to gain a National Governing Body sports coaching qualification and who is working with a club in the Black Country • All applications must be made by Clubs/Organisations, and not by individuals • The coaches must use their qualification within the Black Country • Closing date: 6th December 2013 www.blackcountrybeactive.co.uk • Applications must be submitted, either before the course has commenced, or during the award-training period • We can fund up to 50% of the actual course cost (not transport or accommodation) up to a maximum of Level 1: £100 Level 2: £150 Level 3: £250 www.blackcountrybeactive.co.uk How to apply • Visit: www.blackcountrybeactive.co.uk to download an application form • Or for further information contact: Laura Whitehead, Coaching & Young People Officer Laura_whitehead@blackcountryconsortium.co.uk 01384 471135 www.blackcountrybeactive.co.uk Sport England Funding Sport England have the following pots of funding available: • • • • • Small Grants Inspired Facilities Inclusive Sport Community Sport Activation Fund Get Equipped www.blackcountrybeactive.co.uk Small Grants • Sport England make awards of between £300 and £10,000 to not-for-profit organisations to help more people play sport • Sport England want applications to deliver these strategic outcomes: • An increase in the proportion of 14-25’s playing sport once a week • A growth in regular (once a week) participation for all those aged 14+ • A reduction in drop off at ages 16, 18, 21 & 24 • Growth in participation by people (aged 14+) with a disability. • The fund is open all year round www.blackcountrybeactive.co.uk Inspired Facilities • Could help you refurbish or upgrade your sports facility or convert an existing building into a venue suitable for sport and accessible to the whole community • Grants are available from £20,000 to £50,000 (up to £150,000 for statutory bodies) for any organisation eligible to receive Lottery funding • The current round will close on 16 December 2013 www.blackcountrybeactive.co.uk Inclusive Sport • Designed to increase the number of disabled young people (aged 14+) and adults regularly playing sport as part of Sport England’s wider commitment to increasing regular sport participation by disabled people • The minimum level of investment for Inclusive Sport is set at £10,001.
