Multiple benchmark assessments (MBA) were created to target District wide winter diagnostic areas of concerns and provide practice for the FCAT. 5 Interim Benchmark Assessments – IBM’s Reading ◦ Grades 3 – 10 ◦ At least one test per benchmark ◦ 5 questions per test Mathematics ◦ Grades 3 – 8, Algebra 1, and Geometry ◦ One test per benchmark ◦ 5 – 6 questions per test 6 Multiple Benchmark Assessments – MBA’s Reading Mathematics ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ Grades 3 – 10 Three Passages Minimum of 3 benchmarks assessed Benchmarks grouped by compatability 13 - 15 questions per test ◦ Grades 3 – 8, Algebra 1, and Geometry ◦ 10-15 questions per test ◦ Assessments were created based upon the district’s winter diagnostic area of concerns – or -content/skills and the number of objectives contained in each benchmark – or – foundational benchmarks needed to master tested benchmarks. Teachers DO NOT have to assign the test to their class/periods. Teachers give their student the test code – student logs into CORE K12 – student inputs test code – student takes test. Results will automatically go to the teacher Extremely Easy!!! 9 To access the test codes you will need to click onto the West Area Capacity Team web Site. An electronic flyer with the link on it will be sent to you via e-mail. You can forward the flyer to your teachers. They simply have to press the control button and click the link and they will access the test code web site.
