Available forms are listed for selected office. 14 PNSW Dashboard 15 NSW SYSTEM CONTENT • Electronic submission of application form • Viewable status in the system dashboard • Notification via email of application status • Electronic attachments of supporting documents • Mobile and electronic payment • Executive Dashboard and Management Reports • Secured submission of documents using digital signatures NSW IS A “WORK-IN-PROGRESS” NSW in early stages of implementation: not yet fully optimized – • Manual permit/clearance procedure is still allowed in some agencies • Paper permits are still used • Marginal use by ‘small-user’ agencies • Sustain NSW advocacy to ‘small users’ CHALLENGES • Reliance on hard copy documents • Seamlessly integrate current procedures • Alignment of business processes • Capacity to reengineer procedures • Technology readiness of the OGAs varies – different legacy systems, different technologies and different processes • Adoption of NSW technology solutions CONCERNS/CHALLENGES E-DOCS • May be tedious for voluminous attachments • Accept incomplete e-Docs, repeat/multiple applications • Not always practical (documents are sometimes discussed among approvers, not just visual check) CONCERNS/CHALLENGES INFRASTRUCTURE • Ongoing Set-up of Offsite Backup – – Data Center Hot Backup Site • (Some) Slow Internet Connection • BlackBerry: limited screen size OTHER CONCERNS/CHALLENGES • Implementation by other agencies of their internal systems • Not all agency agreements signed (SLAs) • Organizational/policy changes AREAS OF CONSIDERATION CHANGE MANAGEMENT • Realigning the Vision, Mission, Core Values with the Agencies and End-users • BOC CM TWG encouraged to touch base with agencies to enhance/accelerate NSW ‘acceptability’ AREAS OF CONSIDERATION ORGANIZATION • General Roles & Responsibilities of member agencies not all clearly defined • Coordination/reporting structure & roles of various SCs and TWGs not so much streamlined and definitive • Lack of firm directive toward paperless transaction and exchange of electronic information NSW NATIONAL SIGNIFICANCE (IN E-COMMERCE) • 1st & largest nationwide IT Project G2G/inter-agency involvement B2G/private sector participation Budget • 1st Philippine IT cross-border Project THANK YOU
