ANNOUNCEMENTS JROTC Brigade Review, 7 May, 6:30 PM, North Forsyth High School stadium It is once again time to "wrap up" the school year with the annual JROTC Brigade Review. The parents, guardians, families, loved ones and teachers of cadets are invited to come out and see their cadets parade by during the review. As in years past, we are hoping that every single cadet will take part as we lead the rest of the school district's cadets through the ceremony. Hope to see you there and thank you for your support. Thespians and Intended Thespians can begin picking up and filling out your Thespian Point rosters beginning on Friday, May 1st. ALL FORMS ARE DUE TO MISS BURGESS BY Wednesday, May 6th. If you do not turn in your roster form NO POINTS will be allocated to you for your work this season. The End of Year Talon Theatrical Company and Thespian Induction Banquet will be held on Friday, May 29th, 2015 at 6:30 PM in the EFHS Auditorium. Cost for banquet only $5. Cost for banquet and heavy hors'd'oeuvre will be $12. All money and reservations for the banquet must be received by Tuesday, May 26th. CASH ONLY!!!! The parking lots are off limits once you have exited your vehicles and come on campus. SOPHOMORES ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DRIVE AND PARK ON THE CAMPUS OF EFHS. Parking on campus is a privilege reserved for juniors and seniors who purchase a valid East Forsyth parking sticker. Remember upperclassmen…if you purchase a day pass and give it to a sophomore, YOU RUN THE RISK OF LOSING YOUR PARKING STICKER! IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION: If you park in a handicapped parking space without a valid placard, you will be towed and fined $250.00. You will also be towed if you park in the grass or the medians starting tomorrow. Everyone must park in designated parking spaces on campus. Attention EFHS Class of 2015 Parents! The Senior Picnic for members of the Class of 2015 will be held on Tuesday, May 19th. The picnic committee is currently accepting donations from parents and businesses to assist with the cost of the picnic. Take time to review available scholarships, deadlines posted in newsletter (sometimes different than those posted on scholarship applications), and ask questions if you have them. Scholarship Spotlight Darla Kendrick Memorial Scholarship was created in honor of former East Forsyth teacher, Darla Kendrick. This $500 scholarship will be awarded to a Senior who has maintained at least a 2.5 GPA with plans to attend a college or university and demonstrated financial need. Return completed applications to Mrs. Hubbard by May 8. Seniors – remember to bring in copies of ALL scholarship award letters (even if you do not plan to attend the schools that offered scholarships) to Mrs. Cobb as soon as possible. We want to be sure all scholarship recipients have the opportunity to be recognized at Awards Day in May!!! Senior Reminders Stop by our office to fill out your post-secondary pennant for us to post (list the college you’ll be attending next year) Return your completed Senior Exit Survey Card to Mrs. Cobb by April 30; stop by Mrs. Cobb’s desk to pick up your card if you didn’t receive it when completing the online senior surveys this week – our office uses these cards to get final transcripts to the correct locations!!! Review requirements and complete your application on-line at the Kernersville Chamber of Commerce website.
