TASK: Because mental illness can hit anyone at any time, you have been hired by
hired by a local partner to put together a small informational tri-fold about a category of
psychological disorders and the therapy techniques used to treat them. Pretend you run
an inpatient or outpatient treatment clinic and complete the following:
AGENDA:
1. Check out the PDF template attached to our website.
Use it to GUIDE your creativity. By no means do you have to create something that
looks exactly like this. Microsoft Word (and other programs) have wonderful templates
that you can use.
2. Choose 1 DSM disorder category for the focus of your clinic.

5. Explain the THERAPY PERSPECTIVE that your clinic will subscribe to and treat
from. Yes, your clinic can be ECLECTIC - but please make sure that your choice is
logical. Use your textbook modules (32&33) on therapy as a guide. This is your
opportunity to explain a particular approach to treating psychopathologies. Again,
you are NOT getting into specific treatments in this section, but explaining how you,
the Clinical or Counseling Psychologist, were trained to treat the disorders.
