NZDF Planning Status
NZDF will deploy a multi-disciplinary team of 8 personnel for the duration of
the deployment to Vietnam 10 – 24 Jul 12. Exact composition is to be
finalised in due course but likely to be as follows with specialties to be
advised:

Outline SOM:

Medical Update
• Transition to new DMOP – CAPT David Tanen
• Medical Assessment: PI report being chopped. CAM cancelled.
RMI will go forward, need to determine dates, team, etc.
• Staffing – 97/623 billets remain “un-named” – reportedly filled,
names have not been forwarded. 7 positions “unfillable” due to
cross-reference with PDSS/ADVON (Gen surg X1, HCA/POMI/RSOI
X1, Nurse Educator X 2, Vet X 2, Internist/CC = DMOP)
• Credential requirements: Still being reviewed by PACFLT, latest
from JAG is that we can provide requested information.
• CONOPS – Medical Annexes PI, VN 90%, CAM, IND 75%. VET
Annexes behind, vet now back from USAF ops.
• MERCEX – SOE in place. OIC Notebook being developed.
• RON – Hotel RON in IND and CAM discussed with MWG. Hotel
reduces FHP risk, FP risk. PACFLT requesting data on RON
requirements, similar to what ENG provided.
