In English, some verbs are regular and some are
irregular.
Regular verbs end in –ed. For example:
Work- worked
Travel- travelled
Live-lived
Stay- stayed ………and so on.

do - the first word is the infinitive form of the verb
did - the second word is the past form of the verb
