Science Department Philosophy
Expose students to all three major disciplines
of science while in high school
 Produce active, informed students who begin
to understand the interrelationships between
different disciplines

Graduation Requirements

Minimum: Students must complete three full
years of laboratory science, including one year
of biology.

Actual: Most students (95%) complete four full
years of science. Many double-up on science
courses during 11th or 12th grade and complete
5 or 6 full science courses by graduation.
