Publisher Elizabeth Christian Cruz O’Malley was born in Sta. Ana, Manila Philippines in November 1965. She was a Business Administration graduate in 1987 at the Philippine School of Business Administration Manila , and worked with Far East Bank and Trust company for 7 years, holding the position of Special Services Clerk, Marketing Assistant/Bank Trader and as a Credit Analyst. She then did post graduate study at the University of the Philippines Masters In Communication Arts Broadcasting major in 1995-2000. At the university she worked as an Administrative Assistant at the Pahinugod Volunteer Center , and as a Graduate Research Assistant for the Department of Student Affairs. During her graduate work at the State university, she was offered a job at the Maritime Training Council as English Instructor for Officers on board that paved the way for international work assignments. She worked as a Corporate Trainer for English and Values Formatio n courses on board passenger cruise lines like Carnival Cruise Lines and Fred Olsen Cruise Lines, where her last position was that of Night Auditor. She also taught English courses at the Manila Do ctors College, STI College, OFW–Overseas Family Workers Club, founded by the former Ambassador Roy V. Seneres, and at several language and training centers in Manila, Philippines during offshore assignments. With great love for the arts and literary masterpieces such as those of Shakespeare, Whitman, Browning, Bacon, and D.H. Lawrence etc., she was recognized as a member of the International Poet Society in Maryland, USA, with her poem MASK included in the The Fountain Of Peace 2001 edition. Her poems were regularly featured in Far East Bank Notes during her stay in the bank. She was also the Literary Editor for and staff member of the New Business Journal PSBA-Manila school organ from 1984-1987 An active parishioner in her hometown, Paranaque City, Philippines at the Mary Queen Of Apostles Parish church in and community as a Commentator/Lector and choir member for more than 20 years, she represented the parish as a World Youth Delegate in 1995 during Pope John Paul II’s 2 nd visit to the Philippines. She participated in volunteer work mandated by the Daughters Of Charity of St. Vincent De Paul, Paranaque City chapter during the national elections in 2004, and was involved with several socio-civic cause oriented movements and organizations such as the Apostleship of the Sea, Manila chapter. She is happily married to Michael O’Malley since 2007, and a teammate for their pro-life mission work as his Publisher at the Gospel of Life Centre. At present, she is also very active in her new Catholic parish as a Rosary Advocate, Special Eucharistic Minister, Parish Pastoral Counc il member, and Lector. She loves walking their dog Sunshine with Mike, dancing, communing with nature, photography, reading inspirational articles, singing, cooking and hosting parties for family and friends.
