Purpose/Objective:
The purpose of this assignment to help students understand the differences
between Wilson’s 14 Points and the Treaty of Versailles. More importantly, by
emphasizing Wilson’s 14 Points, students understand what Wilson’s Moral

aftermath. Students can be further taught to compare and contrast Wilson’s
diplomatic ways with those of former presidents Roosevelt and Taft.

This lesson can modified to fit any group of students. It can be used in a primarily
independent learning environment, or it can be completed as a class assignment. It
is important to give students background information on both documents, and
compare and contrast the two.
