23rd Annual MT. TURNBULL RODEO
Stock Contractor Request for Bid
RODEO DETAILS:
The Mt. Turnbull Rodeo Committee is soliciting bids for stock for the following rodeos:
 Bull Bash 7 pm on April 2, 2015
 Junior Rodeo at 9 am on April 3, 2015
 SWIRA Region Rodeo #1 at 6 pm on April 3, 2015
 SWIRA Region Rodeo #2 at 12 pm on April 4, 2015
The Rodeos will be held in Bylas, AZ, at the Nelson Duane Rodeo Arena. Please see Attachment 1 for a list of events
which will be held during each Rodeo.
BID TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
1. The Rodeos will not be a place to ‘train’ or ‘break-in’ stock therefore all stock have had previous rodeo experience.
2. Steer Wrestling and Team Roping steers should be even in weight, horn length and size.
3. Tie-Down Roping calves should be smaller than breakaway roping calves and even in weight and size.
4. This Rodeo tends to have a lot of entries in the Breakaway Roping events. All calves used in the Breakaway Roping
events must have less than 2” horn length and should be even in weight and size.
5. Rough Stock Contractors are required to provide trucking to and from Rodeo; Bull Fighter; Pickup Men, Bucking
Chute Help, Bucking Striping Chute Help; and Draw Chips for all stock.
6. Timed Event Contractors are required to provide trucking to and from Rodeo; Roping Chute Help; Roping Striping
Chute Help and Draw Chips for all stock.
7. Hay/Feed: 100 bales of hay will be provided for rough stock and timed-event stock to share. Stock Contractors will
need to provide their own grain.
8. Event Limits: The Junior Rodeo and Bull Bash have a limit of 20 on each of their events however the SWIRA Region
Rodeo does not have limits. To assist with estimations, below are the entries from the 2014 SWIRA Region Rodeo.

9. Stock Contractors are required to bring enough stock for each rodeo and event.
10. Preference will be given to Stock Contractors who hold a 2015 INFR Stock Contractor Card.
BID PACKET PREPARATION:
Bid should contain the following information and documents:
 Completed Stock Contractor Bid Application (Attachment 2)
 Signed Stock Contractor Release and Waiver of Liability Agreement (Attachment 3)
 Email application and waiver to olivarleilani@gmail.com by 9 am MST on March 16, 2015.
SELECTION: Winning bid(s) will be notified by 5 pm MST on March 21, 2015 and will be required to sign a fixed-price
service agreement within 3 days after notification. Failure to sign agreement will result in agreement being awarded to
next best bid. Once agreement is fully-executed, 50% of contract amount will be prior to rodeo and remaining 50% will
be paid at the conclusion of the Rodeo.

STOCK CONTRACTOR
RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY AGREEMENT
I, _____________________________________________ (“Stock Contractor Authorized Representative”) of
_______________________________________________(“ Stock Company”), acknowledge that I am voluntarily
providing stock to be used in the 23RD Annual Mt. Turnbull Rodeo.
I acknowledge and understand that participation in rodeo events is inherently a dangerous activity and that there is a
risk of property damage, bodily injury, and even death. I acknowledge and understand that animals used in rodeo can
be unpredictable and dangerous, even animals owned or used by me personally. I further acknowledge and understand
that arena conditions can change from time to time which may increase or decrease the risk of injury to me, my
personnel, or my animals. I have evaluated such risk and I voluntarily agree to assume all risk and liability.
I hereby forever release the San Carlos Apache Tribe, Southwest Indian Rodeo Association, Inc., its board of directors,
the Town of Bylas, the Indian National Finals Rodeo Inc., any affiliated organization, their respective directors, officers,
employees, volunteers, agents, contractors, and representative (“Releasees”) for any and all actions, claims, or demands
that I, my assignees, heirs, distributes, guardians, next of kin, spouse, and legal representatives now have or may have in
the future for any injury, death, property damage related to the following:
1. My participation and the participation of my stock in this event;
2. The negligence or other acts, whether directly connected to this Rodeo or not, and however caused by any Releasee;
or
3. The condition of the premises where these activities occur.
I also agree that I, my assignees, heirs, distributes, guardians, next of kin, spouse and legal representative will not make
any claim against, sue, or attach any property of any Releasee in connection with any of the matters covered by this
release.
I attest that I have carefully read this release and waiver and fully understand its contents. I am aware that this is a
permanent release of any and all liability for any property damage, injury or death that may result from my participation
or the participation of my stock in the 23rd Annual Mt. Turnbull Rodeo. I hereby sign this document of my own free will.
