1798 the slaves earned freedom in Haiti
1802 Napoleon Bonaparte wanted to take over Haiti but it didn’t happen and they made a
truce
1802 April they took Toussaint and killed him
1803 yellow fever was destroying the French and they surrendered
1804 Haiti declared itself an independent nation
1808 Napoleon occupied Spain
1810 Bolivar led an uprising that established a republic in Venezuela
1810 Father Miguel Hidalgo was working to get freedom and independence for Mexico
1811 Father Jose Morelos was working to get freedom and abolish slavery in Mexico
1815 Father Jose Morelos got shot
1819 Bolivar took Bogota from the Spanish
1820 Haiti became a republic
1821 Bolivar freed Venezuela
1824 was when the war of independence was ended
1825 Latin America was freed from colonial rule
