ASI ASIA-PACIFIC CONVENTION 2016
Dear delegates,
Remember, we are called to attend in an important and amazing event of the ‘ASI Asia-Pacific
Convention 2016’. There will be a lot of joy and spiritual enrichment that awaits us there through sermons,
prayers, testimonies and communion between laity and business people.
THE EVENT
Our ASI Asia-Pacific Convention in 2016 will use “ARISE & BUILD” as its theme, inspired by the Words of
God from Nehemiah 2:17-18. This event will be held for 5 days 4 nights on June 8-12, 2016. In addition to
the tradition of spiritual event, current convention will feature interesting workshops on health care and
business venture as the topic. The organizing committee will held a business incubation forum when
possible.
There are four distinguished speakers and two special guest speakers will be invited for the success of
this program, they are:
1. Pastor G.T. Ng, Secretary of the General Conference
2. Pastor Leonardo R. Asoy, President of the SSD
3. Julian Archer, Founder of Faith & Finance
4. David Kim, Corporate Executive & Co-Founder of Nicodemus Society
5. Liong Pit Lin (as guest speaker), a cancer survivor, Founder of Club Sehat and health consultant of
CMC Jakarta
6. A high profile business conglomerate (as guest speaker, still tentative)
There will be booth provided for any institution and ASI member to promote their products and
services for the period of the event.
How to Register
You may download the Application form from ASI-SSD Website: asi-ssd.adventist.asia
All delegates may apply and submit their registration form and payment as soon as possible at the local
Union Conference or Mission through its Director of Sabbath School/Personal Ministry & ASI Coordinator.
The Union Conference will submit all collected registration information through or by uploading each
delegate’s information in our On-line registration form (on-line link to be given by the ASI-SSD secretariat to
all UNION SSPM/ASI Coordinator’s secretaries). This information will then be collected in our data base.
Registration or money received after May 3, 2016shall not be accepted. There will be no refund after the
deadline date if there will be cancellation of booking. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to reject
any payment and registration.
Upon arrival at the convention venue, delegates must register at the Registration Desk. Registration shall
start from 3:00 pm, local time. Delegates must ensure that they receive the ASI Convention Kit Bag, Event
Magazine, and Stationeries. Convention Kit Bag will be provided to delegates registered by May 3, 2016.
It is recommended that delegates wear their identification batch (ID Card) at all times while at the convention
venue and at all social functions including meal times.

THE VENUE
Indonesia has been appointed as the ASI Asia-Pacific Convention host in 2016. Two attractive places
were considered for the coming event—Jogjakarta and Bali. While the previous is rich by its history, tradition
and sultanate monarchy, the latter is
famous for its tourism, exotic culture and
natural beauty. The organizing committee
at last decided Bali to become the venue of
the up coming convention for specific
reason.

held in Ho Chi Minh City, thus the current rate is set modestly as follows:

Except for Meeting Package, the above rate includes 4 nights board & lodging, city & shopping tour
including lunch in restaurant on the last day of the event, and pick up service from airport to hotel &
from hotel to airport. However, all delegates will be provided by convention materials & handouts, and
also souveniers.
All delegates must notice that Early Bird will close on February 28, 2016, and the last
registration date is set on May 3, 2016 as the deadline.
Exhibition Booths :
There are Exhibitionboothavailableto interested parties who wants to display/sell their goods/products and
services. ASI members/church members are encouraged to take this opportunity to market their goods and
services. The rental rate is at $300 USD per booth.Official delegates will get a 50% off of the regular
price.Please take note that, in line with our beliefs, these booths will be closed for business on Friday sunset
until Saturday sunset. Please state additional request for your booth, we’ll try to get the hotel to

VISA REGULATIONS
Visiting Indonesia Without Any Visa
Entering Indonesia without any visa is possible now only for nationals of the following 11 countries and
territories: Brunei Darussalam, Chile, Hong Kong Special Area (Hong Kong SAR), Macau Special Area (Macau
SAR), Malaysia, Morocco, Peru, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
Citizens of the above countries will be issued on arrival a stay permit for 30 days free of charge upon
presentation of a passport which is valid at least for another 6 months. This stay permit cannot be extended
or converted into another type of visa.
VISA on ARRIVAL (VoA)
This facility is available for nationals of the following countries: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada,
Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, South Africa,
South Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and the United States of
America.
Citizens of these countries will be able to apply for a VoA valid for either 3 or 30 days upon arrival by air in
Bali, Jakarta and a few other international airports or by ship at a limited number of Indonesian sea ports. A
3-day visa costs US$10 and a 30-day visa costs US$25.
The VoA cannot be extended or converted into any other kind of visa. Also be aware that Immigration
officials calculate the 30-day period as follows: your arrival day is counted as your first day, and you must
leave the country on the 30th. day!
How to Obtain the "VISA on ARRIVAL" (VoA)
Travelers from the above countries must be in possession of a passport which is valid for at least 6 months
from the date of arrival and the completed embarkation/disembarkation card they received from their
airline. They must also be able to prove they have sufficient funds for their stay in Indonesia.
The Visa-On-Arrival can be obtained through the Immigration Clearance Points as follow:
1. Airport: Polinia Airport at Medan, Sultan SyarifKasim II Airport at Pakanbaru; Tabing Airport at Padang;
Soekarno-Hatta Airport at Jakarta; Juanda Airport at Surabaya; Ngurah Rai Airport at Bali and Sam Ratulangi
Airport at Manado.
2. Harbour : Sekupang, BatuAmpar, Nongsa and Marina TelukSenimba at Batam; bandarBintanTelaniLagoi
and Bandar Sri UdanaLobam at TanjungUban; Belawan, Sibolga at Medan, YosSudarso at Dumai, TelukBayur
at Padang, TanjungPriuk at Jakarta; Padang Bai at Bali, and Jayapura at Papua.
Arriving travelers with Visa-On-Arrival status have to go first to one of the 'VoA Counters' to pay the
appropriate fee and have their passports stamped with the VoA before proceeding to the Immigration
Clearance Desk. An official bank is part of the VoA service counters. Payment of visa fees can only be made in
US dollar bank notes, Indonesian Rupiah equivalent or by VISA or MASTERCARD.
Airport Pickup:
All delegates who paid the early bird and Normal rate fees will have transportation from the Airport (upon
arrival) to the Hotel.

Taxi:
Taxis from the airport are fixed price. To Sanur it will cost you 95.000 IDR ( 7 USD ). Taxis on the streets are
very cheap so for short trips around the southern built up areas taxis are your best option.
Currency Exchange: This will change from time to time. Please check on-line for
progress of exchange rate of the Indonesian rupiah (IDR).
