PERCY JACKSON AND THE LIGHTNING THIEF
END OF NOVEL PROJECT
DUE: THURSDAY, February 25th, 2016
Now that we have finished reading Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief,
demonstrate your ability to connect to the novel by completing a Word
Collage or Year Book Entries!
WORD COLLAGE
Write the title of the book in the center of a poster board. Then look through
magazines, newspapers, Internet, etc. for words, phrases, sentences and
illustrations that tell about your book. As you look, think of the theme, setting,
plot line, as well as characters. Work to get 50 words, phrases, sentences, and
illustrations so that the poster board is covered. The visual impact of the
collage should tell a potential reader a lot about the book.

Imagine what four main characters from your book were like in middle or
high school. Cut out a picture of a person from a magazine, newspaper, or
internet, to represent each character. Mount one picture per page and under
each picture place the following information which you will create: nickname
of the character, activities, clubs, sports they were in and what year;
superlative award, favorites such as foods and colors, a book that has made a
great impact on him or her; voted “most-likely-to” what? Plans after high
school.
