Bo Braswell My name is Bo Braswell. My family and I moved into Amberfield almost two years ago. Mandy, my wife of 15 years, and our 6 year old daughter Addison, love this community, and desire to reside here for many years to come. Professionally, I am a Restoration Manager for Georgia Power, and oversee a 100 person department of first responders for outages 24\7, 365 days a year under a $17 million dollar budget. Our family is highly involved with the community which we reside. My daughter, Addison, is on the Fields Club swim team, and Mandy and I are involved ALTA, T2, and USTA tennis. Personally, I have served as President of the Boys & Girls Club of Jackson County, board member of Jackson County Chamber of Commerce, and secretary of the Jefferson Rotary Club. Currently, I am on the Board of the Citizens of Georgia Power which handles a budget of $2 million dollars for employees and their families injured on the job. I also serve as a member of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, and lead the Georgia Power Chamber sales team for our CEO. To date, my efforts have resulted in $46,000 in memberships through networking and cold calling efforts. In addition, I volunteer to walk and captain a team for the Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Walk every year which my teammates and I have raised over $96,000 for breast cancer research. I plan to utilize my Corporate and fundraising experience to benefit the Fields Club. Becoming a board member will allow me to utilize this experience as I have successfully done for Georgia Power and other entities. I am confident that I can parlay this experience to benefit of the Fields Club. I hope you will give me the opportunity to serve on this board and look forward to working with you. Ken Domenech My family and I live in Riverfield. We joined the community and the Fields Club last year. Our two children are active on the swim team. My work experience over the last twenty years or so includes budgeting, strategic planning, corporate development, and financial analysis for domestic and international operations. I've had the privilege of supporting rapidly growing organizations and also had to make tough choices implementing cost saving initiatives to maintain the health of the business. I am particularly interested in how the board allocates / spends funds and long term planning. We intend to be a part of this community for the long term and we want to be involved in important decisions which affect us. Thank you. Ken Domenech John Edwards John and his wife Lily have called Amberfield home for more than 5 years. He is especially grateful to have had the privilege to serve alongside such a dedicated group during the critical renewal of Amberfield's covenants. As chairman for Board communications & technology, John has undertaken several initiatives to help modernize Amberfield's communications and ensure residents are connected as a community - including updates to the Amberfield website (amberfield.org), the creation of an opt-in email system for neighborhood news and alerts, and the development of Amberfield's Facebook community, which currently connects 100+ Amberfield families together (search for amberfield.subdivision on Facebook to join us). He also owns a firm that has developed and managed rental property in the Athens, GA community for the past 14 years. As a candidate for the Fields Club Board, John is committed to partnering with other Board members to help make the Fields Club the preeminent swim and tennis club in the Peachtree Corners area. Karen Melde My name is Karen Melde, and I am running to become a Fields Club board member. My husband Ken and I are original owners of our home on Beresford CT in Riverfield. We are currently empty-nesters, with our son Christopher off doing IT stuff, and our daughter Lauren away at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. Our kids were 8 & 2 when we moved here. Ken and I are originally from Staten Island, NY, though we moved to Riverfield in October of 1993 from East Cobb. We were looking for a neighborhood with tons of kids and friendly faces, and we found it here! Both kids went to Simpson then private/Catholic schools at various stages of their post-elementary educational careers. They were both members of the swim team & tennis teams for years. Both Ken & I played tennis, but are currently taking a break! I am a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with a neurogenetic practice, and Ken is an IT manager. At this point in our lives, we want to ‘give back’, and being on the Fields Club Board is one way to do that. I bring detail oriented skills, along with the ability to not only see the big picture, but to focus on the details as well. Thank you, Karen Melde John M. Ray As a resident of Amberfield for the past 9 years, I have grown to understand what a terrific neighborhood and community we live in. Now, my passion is giving back to The Fields Club as we continue to make this one of the top neighborhoods in Atlanta. This would include 3 primary area of focus: sound decisions around enhancing property values increasing membership in our Club fiscal responsibility for our budget Professionally, my background includes investment advisory experience with Bernstein Global Wealth Management, Bank of New York Mellon, and currently overseeing my own independent investment firm. My education includes a B. A. from Emory University, a Masters of International Business from The University of South Carolina, and a J. D. from the Birmingham School of Law. Some of my civic duties include being a past President of the Johns Creek North Fulton Rotary Club, and a current Board Member for a charity to benefit Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. At the Fields Club, you may find me on the tennis court as a Captain of an ALTA and USTA tennis team or attending one of our neighborhood events with my 2 girls, Ava (6) and Leah (8). I hope you will consider supporting me in our efforts to continue making The Fields Club a premiere neighborhood community in Atlanta. Aaron Silverman My name is Aaron Silverman and I live on Garnaby Lane in Amberfield. Together with my wife and four kids, we moved to the neighborhood in 2005. Prior to that, we lived off of West Jones Bridge Road in Rivercrest, from 1989 until 2005. I have been married to my wife Laurie, since 1985 and we have three boys and one girl. Kenny, who is 23, graduated from UGA and has recently moved to New York to begin work. We have twins, Josh and Rachel, who are juniors at UGA and College of Charleston, respectively. Our youngest, Stuart, is in 7th grade at Pinckneyville. Since living in Amberfield, we have participated in a large number of the various programs and events that The Fields has had to offer. Stuart and I are both active in the tennis programs; Laurie and I are on the bowling league; and we all enjoy the numerous club events which take place throughout the year. On a civic level, I was involved with cub scouts in Packs 525 and 575 from 1996 through 2002 and then again from 2006 through 2011. During that time, I served in leadership positions on both the Den and Pack level. We also support the Norcross High School of Excellence, the Susan G Komen Three Day Walk for Breast Cancer, and of course scouting. On the business side, I have been an entrepreneur since 1990 and currently own businesses i nthe equipment rental industry, credit reporting industry, and am currently involved in the startup of property tax appeal business. I have previously been in the telecommunications industry, as well as owning businesses in Western Canada. I graduated from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill in 1980 and work as a CPA in both public accounting and industry before starting my first company in 1990. My family and I benefit from all that there is to do in association with The Fields Club and from the efforts of many other individuals. Organizations such as The Fields Club can only operate with volunteer efforts of interested individuals. I have the time, experience, and interest to contribute, and believe I not only have an obligation to do so, but can bring value to the continuing success that the club has had for the subdivisions it serves. We have excellent board members and I would like to complement their efforts and ideas with my own. Thank you, Aaron Silverman.
