BELL ACTIVITY: JOURNAL…. Why do you think there are labor laws in the
United States? Discuss the positives and the negatives. Labor laws dictate
how old you have to be to work a job for anyone other than your folks and
how many hours you can work if you are under a certain age. Labor laws
demand that employers pay their workers extra money if they work more
than 40 hours a week. Do you think you should be able to have a job while
you are in middle school ?
