Vocabulary options
You will have a choice of activities to help you learn the new vocabulary.
Notice that some activities are worth 5 pts and others are worth 10 pts.
You may not repeat the same activity.
You need 20/20 pts to receive full credit.
a) Create flashcards for all vocabulary terms in Spanish and English. Use your phone or tablet or
make physical flashcards. Number the cards as you go. (5 pts)
b) Write your vocabulary words 3x each in the following pattern: Spanish-English Spanish-English
Spanish-English. Number the words as you go. (5 pts)
c) Find or create an image and label 10 vocabulary words. Scribbled pencil drawings on notebook
paper will not receive more than ½ credit. (5 pts)
d) Use Pic-collage to create a collage of 10 vocabulary words and label. (5 pts)
e) Record yourself saying your vocabulary words in both Spanish and English. (5 pts)
f) Record yourself reading the dialogue from the comic you created or describing the images you
created and labeled. (5 pts)
g) Go to conjuguemos.com and practice online for 5 minutes. You must get 30+ words at 80% or
better. (10 pts)
h) Create ten original sentences using new vocabulary words. Highlight the vocabulary word. Use
your book and what you know. If I suspect you have used an online translator, you will not
receive credit. (10 pts)
i) Go online and create a crossword puzzle with at least 20 vocabulary terms. I like to use
“discovery education criss-cross puzzle.” Print your puzzle and fill in the correct answers on the
sheet. (10 pts)
j) Create 10 word association flashcard. Write one of your vocabulary words in the middle of a
flashcard and then write 3-5 words that you would associate with that term in Spanish and
English. For example, around the word un picnic, you could write summer- el verano, blanketla manta, ants- las hormigas, basket- la canasta, sandwiches- los sandwiches. (10 pts)
k) Create a short comic using at least 10 vocabulary words in dialogue. (10 pts)
l) Create, perform, and record a song, rap, or rhyme that helps you remember the new
vocabulary. Use at least 10 words in Spanish and in English. (10 pts)
m) Make a video of yourself using at least 10 words in context with props. (10 pts)
