• Leadership is the art or process of influencing
people to perform assigned tasks willingly,
efficiently and effectively.
• Leadership is the ability to get other people
to do something significant that they might
not otherwise do. It’s energizing people
toward a goal.

LEADERSHIP FOR GOOD OR ILL
• leadership can be used for good or ill.
• Example: Hitler seemed to be a leader of the
German people, but he set an evil direction. He
had great leadership skills, but put them to
terrible uses.
• Sometimes people can use leadership skills to
benefit themselves rather than the people they
are supposed to help.

• An organization without a leader is like a
ship without a captain.
• Without a leader, the ship will sink!!

organization. A person who influences a
group of people towards the achievement
of a goal
• Better leaders develop better employees
and the two together develop better

• Leaders are responsible for training employees to perform
their tasks effectively
• supervising the actual completion of those tasks on a regular
basis.

education, and practice and error.
• Going through experience and making mistakes,
enable the person to becoming a true and
effective leader.
• If a person is not able to learn from her mistakes
and admitting her faults, she will never be able
to be an effective leader.

are a variety of people (leaders and managers)
who play an important role.
• Some people think that both same when they
are actually not. People generally assume the
managers to be the leaders and the leaders to
be the managers, but there is a huge difference
between the two.

• The leader is an innovator (come up with

an administrator (who wants to get the job
done).
