The summative for the first 6th grade math unit, Prime Time, will be given on Tuesday, October 15. In
the Prime Time unit students have solved problems involving factors, multiples, prime and composite
numbers, GCF, LCM, prime factorization, the distributive property, and order of operations. Many of
these topics are the foundation for subsequent topics that will be covered in 6th grade math. Therefore,
several of the concepts introduced and practiced in the Prime Time unit will be carried over, practiced
and assessed in later units in 6th grade.
Level 2 questions will assess students’ ability to find GCF and LCM. Level 3 questions will assess
students’ ability to use and apply the distributive property to express a sum of two whole numbers. Level
4 questions will require students to make in-depth inferences and apply their understanding of the
distributive property.
1.) List the divisibility rules for each number:
2 -______________________________________________________________
