1. Get Your Marketing Messages Out Early. 30% of taxpayers file by mid-February. Promote TurboTax in
your December and January emails, newsletters and statement inserts. Increase your marketing and Web
impressions by January 15th.
2. Be Seen. Be Heard. Place banners and messaging on high traffic areas of your Website by the end of
December: Home Page, Online Banking, Bill Pay and Account Summary pages. Place the banners “above the fold”
and remove unnecessary jump pages and extra clicks.
3. Be There When Your Members are Looking for Tax Help. Your Members are looking for an easy,
fast tax solution. So be sure to display your tax prep offer where they are looking for it – prominent placement in
your Tax Center, Finance or Money pages and Search Function.
4. Don’t Play Hide and Seek. Your Members don’t want to work hard. Make it easy for them to find your tax
prep offer. Make logos clickable and get Members to your TurboTax site as quickly as possible so they can get
started.
5. Reach Members in a Variety of Ways. The more cues you provide your Members, the better. Don’t just
rely on your Website placements. Utilize both online and offline efforts to drive your Members to your offers with
statement inserts, emails, newsletter articles and posters.
