Graduate Business Conference (GBC)

Annual conference sponsored by GBF, for 20+ years
2-day event for student leaders
Attendance is limited to top business schools in the world
100% student organized
Student leaders must “bid” to host the conference
Conference is usually held in U.S. or Canada
2006: 1st conference held in Europe
GBC 2006
• April 6-9 at Copenhagen Business School, Copenhagen, Denmark
• 105 delegates from 42 top schools
GBC 2006
• 2006: 1st time schools from Asia were invited
• NCCU Attendees:

Nai-Wei Shih (IMBA Student Council Secretary)
• Conference consisted of lectures, company tour, workshops,
discussions, best practices seminars and Presidents’ Forum

• Organized by committee of 25 student leaders for 18 months
• 30 additional students recruited in final month to serve as “Conference
Hosts”
• Raised $350,000 (USD) in sponsorship
• Provided meals, lodging and conference materials for all attendees

contact invitees.
