Role Title:
Analyst - Marketing Analytics BAU Support
Department:

Position Statement (succinct statement of why the position exists)
Empirics’ MarketSuite tool was implemented in AustralianSuper in August 2015, and forms the first step
towards the Link transition. On an ongoing basis, MarketSuite will continue to be enhanced with new data
sources, business rules or the resolution of defects raised by the business. A resource is required within SPA
to help manage the continuous development of MarketSuite, support queries from a large base of users
(approximately 30) and oversee the technical development of the data warehouse.
Key Duties (what is done, how it is achieved and what the end result is)
Onboarding
 Identification of users and coordinating with appropriate Heads for approval
 Coordinate approval of invoices through to Finance Accounts Payable
 Confirm user access level configurations and obtain compliance signoff
 Prepare user training schedule and coordinate rollout of the user training sessions
 Raise relevant SP/Brennan IT tickets for user access
Ongoing support requests
 Triage support requests received from business users.
 Assist business users by providing answers to queries, coaching in the tool and creating extracts where
required.
 Manage and coordinate escalation of requests/incidents to Empirics.
 Conduct regular status meetings to review type & hrs analytic support usage, track System
Availability/Reliability/Performance SLA, etc.
New development
 Identify and raise new development requirements / change requests
 Coordinate release planning of new requests with Empirics
 Facilitate user acceptance testing
 Coordinate the automation of all MarketSuite data file uploads (e.g. From IFS & Deloitte DMS)
Ongoing user comms
 Run regular meetings with Champions to review key learnings for business improvements, WIP priorities,
and New data or system upgrade demand/supply

Part B - Person Specification
Qualifications (indicate whether mandatory or desired)



A tertiary qualification, preferably in marketing or technology
Technical skills in the use of reporting and data management packages including MarketSuite, SQL
Server 2012 (or later) and advanced Excel/VBA/Macros (mandatory)
Demonstrable experience in data management activities, including writing SQL queries (management)

Good understanding of marketing analytics tools such as IBM Unica, Marketo, MarketSuite, etc. (highly
desired)
Desired Experience Profile:
Data management
 Knowledge and experience in writing database queries, preferably using Microsoft SQL Server 2012
package
 Comfortable in data manipulation, e.g. creation of lists, data reconciliation, data washing
 Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
 Skilled in data manipulation, analysis techniques and interpretation skills
Work management
 Good communication, presentation, explanation and influencing skills
 Possess excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external
customers and department staff
 Able to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously
