The purpose of this project was to test if the line would
break at the manufactured specified rating and to measure
and plot the stress vs. strain curve for the fishing line. The
type of fishing line that we used was nylon.

Breaking Points of the fishing lines
Tested strength as a percent of rated strength
 Are test showed that only the 30lb
Trilene and 12lb Stren had a greater
tested strength then they were rated
for.
 The 14lb Eagle Claw broke almost
14% its rated strength.
 The other two, the Zebco Omniflex
15lb, and the Trilene Super Strong
25lb, both broke relatively close to
their rated strengths, within 5%.
