Funding Priorities Programs must take an innovative approach to teen pregnancy prevention. Programs must focus on a high risk population(s) currently underserved by existing evidence-based TPP programs. Be CREATIVE. Be BOLD. Be NEW. Innovation iTP3 will support programs: Implemented in a variety of settings Targeting one or more population(s), including those capable of influencing change for the target population(s) Targeting change at all intervention levels – individual, interpersonal, organizational, policy, and systems-level change Incorporating technology as a support feature of the overall programmatic design Programs must be positive, safe, supportive, and healthy for all youth! Priority Populations Older teens – 18 and 19 years of age Racial and ethnic minority youth Teens living in the southern US and in rural areas Youth with special needs Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and/or Questioning youth Victims of intimate violence Family units with an adolescent child Youth in foster care or juvenile justice system Males Adolescents who have been pregnant/caused a pregnancy, given birth, currently pregnant, or currently parenting Programs Eligible for Funding Programs across different stages of development are eligible for iTP3 funding! 1. Transitioning promising ideas into innovative programs 2. Preparing their program for implementation 3. Ready for pilot testing 4. Final stages of program Key Questions for Applicants to Consider: • Where is your program in the development process? • What development activities have already been completed? • What activities are feasible to accomplish within 12 funded months? Funding Expectations Work with iTP3 staff to identify capacity building assistance needs and preferred training formats. Provide program materials for review and make requested revisions prior to program implementation. Participate in a joint evaluation process. Obtain approval from an Institutional Review Board if applicable.
