First trainings facilitated by WA for outside agency with fees. September: New life skill coordinator , Gayle Saks hired and trained. October: Life skill groups start up with Gayle Saks. WA Director participated in emerging leaders pilot program follow-up with John Larivee. November: Harvard PBHA tutoring starts at Sargent House and new Watson House program. Connected with YWCA to secure services for McGrath House - women’s health groups. Attended three-day EPICS training in NH - beginning of CJI/SJS collaboration with University of Cincinnati. January: Tapes and conference calls begin for follow-up EPICS training. Gayle Saks attends EPICS training in Virginia. WA Annual Report completed and compiled by SQA. Met with Coolidge House case management staff to assist with curriculum and planning for life skills groups. The current life skills curriculum consists of topics including independent living skills, job readiness preparation, goal setting, communication skills, stress management, nutrition and health, and parenting. Information obtained from Watson Academy Monthly Reports Harvard Tutoring Programs August 2012 – January 2013 Harvard Tutoring Program January 2012 - December 2012 59 33 Total Clients Served Total Sessions Condcuted The Harvard (PBHA) Tutoring program was on hiatus the months of August 2012 – October 2012 Last CPR, (November 2010- April 2011), a total of 73 clients served and a total of 30 sessions conducted In FY 2012, Harvard University students conducted 33 sessions with 59 youth to participate in: one-on-one current event discussions; educational activities and games; trivia contests; and, history and political discussion.
