9th and 10th grade –
January 15, 2016
Who would like to lead us
In our prayer today?
YOUR OWN OR … … … … …
Let’s talk about GLOGs:
1. Glogs due Mondays. No late accepted. If
you are not here on Monday then it is due
on Tuesday etc…signed/sealed/delivered!
2. Turn your Glog in to me – my person!
3. Glogs must be turned in daily with your
HW – either before HR or at beg.of class.
4. If you turn it in without data or without
an average – then it will be a zero!
5. If we just have a completion grade – put
it in both CG and AG.
6. HW - Check the sign on the bookshelf
outside my room every morning to see if
HW is due before HR or in class – then make
sure your GLOG is turned in with your HW.
7. CW is a separate grade from HW.
8. Test corrections ( up to an 80) = 5 day
limit on time to do corrections = 5 days
from date you see your grade. Test
corrections must be done in tutorial unless
you cannot stay for some good reason (a
‘good reason’ is determined by me ).

TODAY:
P.195
1.
DNA – deoxyribose – 2 – A,T,G & C
RNA – ribose – usually 1 – A,G,C but no T
It does contain U (uracil)
2.
a. transfer RNA = tRNA
b. messenger RNA = mRNA
c. ribosomal RNA = rRNA
3. the master plan is the DNA molecule.
The cell uses this molecule to prepare
mRNA which are the “blueprints”.
The mRNA carries the instructions for
protein synthesis from the nucleus to the
ribosomes in the cytoplasm, where the
actual proteins are built.
