The
SECURITY
To START
SMALL
Last Sunday we learned to have
the courage to think big; i.e., to
dream God’s dream for our lives.
Our God specializes on doing the
impossible. Yet we hesitate to
ask Him for great things and
settle on requesting for the
mundane.
The Security To Start Small
Now while we should think big in
God, we must be willing to start
small.
This guiding principle of
leadership calls us to have an
inner security to start small. It
takes a quiet disposition and
humility to begin on a small
scale.
The Security To Start Small
Some great companies or
organizations have an
inconspicuous genesis.
Mariano Que perhaps is one of
the good models to building a
huge business empire by starting
small.
The Security To Start Small
He founded the Mercury Drug
Corporation by first selling pills
from a pushcart in the 1940s.
Mariano Que started his career
working in a Manila drugstore in
prewar Philippines. After the
war, he used his drugstore
experience to launch his own
business.
The Security To Start Small
Mercury Drug Corporation is the
Philippines' dominant pharmacy
group today. It operates a
national chain of more than 450
drugstores. MDC is estimated to
sell as much as 60% of all
medicines sold each year in the
Philippines (the country's
hospitals sell about 12 %).
The Security To Start Small
