its underlying hardware. This allows a system to automatically turn off components such as
monitors and hard drives after set period of inactivity. Additionally, a system may hibernate,
where most components are turned off.
5. Data Center Power - Data centers can likely improve their energy and space efficiency
through techniques such as storage consolidation and virtualization.
6. Telecommuting - Teleconferencing technologies are often implemented in green computing
