Here is Homework for Week of 5.18.15
*******All projects for March/April are past due. Upcoming Projects are being worked on
mostly in class with exception of Science Fair Projects which will be mostly homework.
*******May projects with exception of Science Fair Project due 5/26/15. Students should
only have to do final copy of projects because they had class time to work on it.

******Weekly Vocabulary Quiz 5/26/15
******Please work on I-Ready lessons. 1-2 lessons each subject a week for ELA and Math.
****** Please check out our website on Merrick Academy.org and Jupiter for updated
grades.
******Please schedule to pick up report cards if you have not already picked them up. Refer
to Jupiter for behavior logs.
****** All projects are overdue. Please check Jupiter. Any assignments missing are
represented by “/”. These projects heavily affect grades. Any projects not turned in will be
graded as a “0”.
Monday- ELA- Reading log Read for 30 minutes; Quiz tomorrow. Benchmark Vocabulary- Quiz
For Vocabulary Words Study meanings of the words; Math- Worksheet Study facts. Social
Studies- Work on Biography of Inventors Project. Science- Refer to Science Fair Project
Requirements: List materials you will be using for projects and purchase.
Tuesday- ELA- Reading log Read for 30 minutes; Benchmark Vocabulary- squirm, suggest,
uninhabited. Write two synonyms and 1 context clued sentences for each. Study meanings of
the words; Work on Peter Pan adapted chapter Math- Worksheet/Problems in homework
book Study facts. Social Studies- Work on Biography of Inventors Project. Science- Refer to
Science Fair Project Requirements: Log your observation and results. Continue to research and
take notes in your own words for your project with books, articles, and or internet findings.

What problems did he/she face when trying to come up with their idea? (ex. Failed attempts,
challenges)
How did their invention change/effect society today?
