Firefly Coffeehouse Menu Project
Objectives:
 Classify and categorize food items on menu
 Arrange a menu to increase profitability
 Demonstrate to process of creating a menu
Your Task:
Take the options off the current menu for the Firefly Coffeehouse, create both a static and to go menu. Follow
the proceeding steps in creating your menu:
Step 1: Review the current menu for the Firefly Coffeehouse
 Look at their current menu to see all the food options and how they
are currently displayed.

Step 2: Plan out how you are going to organize the menu. Determine the
number of categories. You should have at least 6.
o Drinks
o Salads
o Sandwiches
o Kids menu
o Breakfast
o Bakery
Step 3: Use Adobe InDesign or MS Publisher to create a static menu for the Firefly Coffeehouse.
 Your menu should include:
o Business Logo (the one you created)
o Website
o QR Code (Can be created at http://www.qrstuff.com/)
o Address
o Phone Number
o Categories (minimum of 6)
o List of ingredients
o Visual aids….Picture of the food option (at least one for each category)
o Price in the proper format (no “$”)
o Uses all layout techniques to strategically place lower cost options

 Your menu should include:
o Bi-fold Brochure
o Business Logo (the one you created)
o Website

o Visual aids….(only 1-2)
o Price in the proper format (no “$”)
o Uses all layout techniques to strategically place lower cost options
