Receipt of this Addendum shall be acknowledged on the Proposal Form. B. This Addendum forms part of the Request For Proposals for the above referenced projects and shall be incorporated integrally therewith. C. This Addendum is generally separated into sections for convenience; however, Offerors shall be responsible for reading the Addendum. Failure to list an item(s) in affected sections of this Addendum does not relieve party affected from performing per instructions, provided the information is set forth one time in the Addendum. D. Each Offeror shall make necessary adjustments and submit his proposal with full knowledge of modifications, clarifications, and supplemental data included therein. Where provisions of the following supplemental data differ from those of the original Request For Proposals, this Addendum shall govern. GENERAL INFORMATION 1. RFIs and Clarifications: a. Exhibit A - Proposal Form: Provided information does not state the projected budget for construction. Please provide the budget for construction, which includes all Cost of the Work, Construction Manager Fees, General Condition Fees and Construction Contingencies. This information is needed to figure the percentages for the CM Fee and General Conditions Fee requested under Section A.1 and A.2 on Exhibit A. RESPONSE: Estimated Construction Cost for Projects under CMAR = $25,350,475.00 b. Exhibit B - Proposed Schedule and Master Plan: The proposed bar chart schedule shows the start and completion of each “sub-project” within the scope of the JISD 2015 Bond Program. Please provide the Final Substantial Completion date and/or total project duration in months from the Notice to Proceed by the Owner to the Final Substantial Completion of all projects. RESPONSE: c. Overall Construction Substantial Completion Date = (30 months) Exhibit E - General Conditions Work: Several paragraphs under Article 6 of the AIA 133-2009 Standard Form Agreement have been deleted to shift cost for several general requirement items out of Cost of Work and into the General Conditions work to be compensated under Section A.2 of the Proposal Form. Each proposer can figure the General Conditions and miscellaneous items of cost as described under Exhibit E Sections 1 and 3 based on the project scope, phasing and schedule information provided. However, several of the cost items listed under Section 2 Materials and Equipment, Temporary Facilities and Related Items are unquantifiable without having any design information provided to estimate. Please review and provide more information on the following General Conditions Cost items listed under: Section 2 of Exhibit E: Temporary Machinery, Equipment, Hoisting and Material Moving Equipment: This equipment is assumed to be for the hoisting and movement of materials within the temporary jobsite office, construction laydown and storage areas. If this is not the case, please provide parameters for hoisting for installation of cost of work scope yet to be designed. Otherwise, please confirm the labor and equipment for moving material (material handling) for putting the incorporated scope into place will be allowed under cost of work in the GMP based upon the final design. RESPONSE: We agree with your assumption and work shall be line itemed in your General Conditions. Reference Article 1.1.3 of the AIA Document A201 – 2007 General Conditions of the Contract for Construction in your RFP Package for Work to be included in GMP. Field Engineering Material and Equipment: Field Engineering labor, equipment and material is assumed to be for maintaining benchmarks, establishing control points, layout of the building corners and maintaining horizontal control. All other layout required for each individual trade will be included in the GMP based upon the final design. RESPONSE: We agree with your assumption and work shall be line itemed in your General Conditions. Reference Article 1.1.3 of the AIA Document A201 – 2007 General Conditions of the Contract for Construction in your RFP Package for Work to be included in GMP. Building Permits, Fees and Licenses. Please verify if permit fees will be based on the value of the entire project or broken down between each individual stand along structure. If a plan check fee will be required, provide the square footage of structure(s) and verify the Owner will be responsible for providing the asbestos survey should it be required to complete a building permit application. RESPONSE: Building Plan Review and Permit Fees to be paid by the Owner. Individual Trade Permits to be paid by trade per Project. Asbestos Survey to be provided by the Owner. Erosion control including SWPPP measures and maintenance of same. No SWPPP Plan or Specifications have been provided in this RFP. This item is assumed to be BMP’s for the Temporary Field Offices and/or supporting other general conditions items. If this is not the case, please provide plans, specifications or any other parameters to be able to price, such as quantity of silt fence, amount of concrete washout that should be anticipated and the amount of maintenance that will be required for each individual project site. RESPONSE: We agree with your assumption and work shall be line itemed in your General Conditions. Reference Article 1.1.3 of the AIA Document A201 – 2007 General Conditions of the Contract for Construction in your RFP Package for Work to be included in GMP. Edge railing and toe boards. This item is assumed to be for railings and toe boards for elevated walkways, porches and or platforms to access temporary jobsites offices and storage trailers. If this is not the case, please provide linear footage of edge railing and toe boards to be considered for the cost of work scope not yet designed. RESPONSE: We agree with your assumption and work shall be line itemed in your General Conditions. Reference Article 1.1.3 of the AIA Document A201 – 2007 General Conditions of the Contract for Construction in your RFP Package for Work to be included in GMP. Water for Workers: This item is indicated as a General Conditions item and is assumed to be for the Temporary Field Office and in the field for the CM’s own forces only. If this is not the case, please provide necessary parameters for each proposer to uniformly price. RESPONSE: We agree with your assumption and work shall be line itemed in your General Conditions. Reference Article 1.1.3 of the AIA Document A201 – 2007 General Conditions of the Contract for Construction in your RFP Package for Work to be included in GMP. Temporary Fencing. This item is indicated as a General Conditions item and is assumed to secure the Temporary Field Office and any laydown/storage area. If this item is intended to include the temporary fencing at the limits of construction for each project within the 2015 bond program, please provide the layout of each project site and the necessary parameters for each proposer to uniformly price. RESPONSE: We agree with your assumption and work shall be line itemed in your General Conditions. Reference Article 1.1.3 of the AIA Document A201 – 2007 General Conditions of the Contract for Construction in your RFP Package for Work to be included in GMP. Temporary Protection of the Work: Please identify what specific elements within the scope of the project will require temporary protection (i.e. polished concrete flooring, roofing, interior/exterior finishes and etc. RESPONSE: Finished Work specifically required to be protected shall be defined in the Construction Documents and include in your GMP. Temporary Irrigation: Temporary irrigation included in the General Conditions is assumed to be for the restoration of disturbed areas under the temporary offices, construction laydown and storage areas. If this is not the case, please identify the other project areas required to be temporarily irrigated for each proposer to uniformly price. RESPONSE: We agree with your assumption and work shall be line itemed in your General Conditions. Reference Article 1.1.3 of the AIA Document A201 – 2007 General Conditions of the Contract for Construction in your RFP Package for Work to be included in GMP. Tree Protection: Temporary tree protection will be provided for trees in and around the Temporary Field Office, laydown and storage areas. If additional tree protection is required at each project site, please provide the number and locations of the trees for each proposer to uniformly price. RESPONSE: We agree with your assumption and work shall be line itemed in your General Conditions. Reference Article 1.1.3 of the AIA Document A201 – 2007 General Conditions of the Contract for Construction in your RFP Package for Work to be included in GMP. Temporary Partitions, Temporary Streets and Roads, Safety Covered Pedestrian Walkways, Building Entry Protection, Street and Sidewalk Barricades, Traffic Control: If temporary partitions, streets, roads, covered pedestrian walkway, building entry protection, street/sidewalk barricades and traffic control will be required to facilitate the ongoing operations of the school during the construction phase. Please provide parameters for each proposer to uniformly price. Pricing for temporary sidewalks for campus operations will be included in the GMP based upon the final design and phasing plan. RESPONSE: We agree with your assumption. Temporary Electricity, Water and Gas including costs of connection: This item is assumed to be for the Temporary Field Office. If this is not the case, please provide the anticipated electrical loads for any new and renovated buildings, sizes and number of meters, and the volume of water and gas anticipated for the new construction at each project site. This information will be needed for each proposer to uniformly price. RESPONSE: We agree with your assumption and work shall be line itemed in your General Conditions. Reference Article 1.1.3 of the AIA Document A201 – 2007 General Conditions of the Contract for Construction in your RFP Package for Work to be included in GMP. Debris Removal form Site: This item is assumed to be for the Temporary Jobsite office, construction laydown and storage areas. Dumpster and debris removal for cost of work scope will be quantified and included in the GMP based upon the final design. If this is considered to be a General Conditions cost, please provide an architectural narrative including anticipated building assemblies, the square footage of each building and the General Requirement Specifications for Construction Waste Management and Disposal (Spec. Section 01 74 23) for each proposer to uniformly price. RESPONSE: We agree with your assumption and work shall be line itemed in your General Conditions. Reference Article 1.1.3 of the AIA Document A201 – 2007 General Conditions of the Contract for Construction in your RFP Package for Work to be included in GMP. Periodic and Final Cleaning: This item is assumed to be for the Temporary Jobsite office, construction laydown and storage areas. If this is not the case, please provide parameters such as General Requirement Specifications for Progress Cleaning (Spec. Section 01 74 13) and Final Cleaning (Spec. Section 01 74 23). RESPONSE: We agree with your assumption and work shall be line itemed in your General Conditions. Reference Article 1.1.3 of the AIA Document A201 – 2007 General Conditions of the Contract for Construction in your RFP Package for Work to be included in GMP. Section 3 of Exhibit E: Item 3.1 requires any insurance not provided by the Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP) be included in the General Conditions Fee. Please confirm whether or not an OCIP will be in place for the 2015 Bond Projects. If so, please provide information on the coverages to be provided. RESPONSE: Reference Article 11 of the AIA Document A201 – 2007 General Conditions of the Contract for Construction in your RFP Package for Insurance requirements to be included in you General Conditions.
