Strategic Alliance
An alliance to expand business in the Southeast
ATLANTA .GA – March 19, 2013 – Kuehne + Nagel and Coastal Logistics
Group (CLG) announced the formation of a strategic alliance focused on
providing supply chain solutions with specific value-added services for
clients in the automotive, aerospace, industrial and oil & gas verticals.
The two companies have committed to work collaboratively, leveraging
respective expertise and service offerings to deliver customized solutions and
greater value for joint customers. The alliance combines Kuehne + Nagel’s
strong global freight forwarding and air, sea, road and contract logistics
capabilities with CLG’s strengths in production support in terms of sequencing,
line feed, CKD (Completely Knocked Down) and SKD (Semi Knocked Down)
programs, packaging crating consulting, design & manufacturing, and
aftermarket service parts support.
The Kuehne + Nagel and CLG alliance is focusing its initial efforts on providing
this service offering to existing customers in the Southeast US.
