TITUS FOTSO RESUME: A Certified dancer and Choreographer, formerly with “ KINDJO INSTITUTE” in Yaoundé-Cameroon, where he was the first promotion to serve as head master dance teacher, Gymnastic monitor and Fitness Instructor, Fotso got his first initiation into dance at the age of 8 in Cameroon-West Coast of Africa, where he was born. Mr. Fotso acquired training and expertise in traditional Cameroonian and various African dances styles through his studies with the NATIONAL BALLET of Cameroon, the BAOBAB of Paul Kengmo and Prestigious Dance Companies from Senegal, Zaire/Congo and Ivory Coast. He also Studied Modern’ Jazz Dance at the PARIS CENTRE Studio in Paris- France. A Martial Artist formerly a member of the SAMOURAI CLUB in Yaoundé-Cameroon, Mr. Fotso is the Creator of the “KOSSA FITNESS”™, his unique brand of Workout Technique: a fusion of African traditional and contemporary Dance Forms combined with martial Arts exercises onto a live music. A step-by-step guidance as well as advance session into a new genre of physical training. Founder of the JTF World Dance and Research Project™, Founder and CEO of ARTNOTWAR FOUNDATION™, Mr. Fotso is also the Initiator and Director of the AFRICADANCE CONFERENCE (the LA. Annual educational and Cultural exchange program featuring the masters of Dance and Drums from Africa). As an Actor, his major Film Credits Include Steven Spielberg’s “AMISTAD” and Nuchienkou’s “TONY JET”. His Stage credits include Debbie Allen’s “SOUL POSSESSED”, as Cast, featured and Associate Choreographer; “FROM THE HEART OF LOVE”, as Co-Star and Associate Choreographer, Directed by Richard Lawson. Mr. Fotso has taught regular as well as master Classes, Performed around the globe and has been Chancellor Distinguished/Lecturer/master Teacher in Residence at majors Arts and Dance Institutions /Schools and Universities across the USA including: U.S.C, U.C.I., U.C.L.A., The WATTS TOWERS ARTS CENTER, DEBBIE ALLEN DANCE INSTITUTE at TCU, SAINT JOSHEPH OF BALLET, LULA WASHINGTON DANCE SCHOOL, SANTA MONICA COLLEGE, RHYTHM NATION DANCE SCHOOL, just to name a few. He was formerly Faculty member at the Debbie Allen Dance Academy in Culver CityCalifornia. If his Achievements in Dance were not enough, Titus is a Recording Artist, Vocalist, Songwriter and Music Producer of his own “JAMBOULA BEAT!” ™* Music Style and was the 1999 Winner of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest in the “World Music” Category with his song “ SPIRIT DANCER “. As a teen and High School student, Titus was the main Choreographer for “ TROPICANA SHOW “, a major 90’s dance driven musical Variety show on the national Television network (CRTV: Cameroonian Radio Television). He had collaborated with DreamWorks Animation Studios on Dance research for the new “ MADAGASCAR Escape 2 Africa”. While Choreographing Music Videos for other fellow Singers/Performers, he has been, on and off, touring/Lecturing/teaching/ performing/Organizing and Fundraising for Charity causes and actions in his home Bafoussam in Cameroon, from where he had just returned. After touring the USA during the 1994 Soccer World Cup and opening for the Rolling Stone at their Pasadena - Rose Bowl’s “ Voodoo Lounge Tour “ Concerts, the same year, Titus Fotso decided to relocate and establish his Art business in America where he had just became a California permanent resident. He is a master teacher of many dance Styles from Africa (western and Central regions) as well as his own brand of African Contemporary dance Form.
