CONSTITUTIONAL LAW – TIME AND PLACE FOR ELECTIONS
England like ancient Israel is a constitutional
monarchy. The passing of the throne of power
is through the blood line of the family in power.
In a republic like the American Union, the seat
of office is elective.
Finding Fundamental Principles
Find 2 Samuel 2.2-4 in the U.S. Constitution
“After this, David asked the LORD, “Shall I go and
take control of one of the towns of Judah?”
“Yes,” the LORD answered.
“Which one?” David asked.
“Hebron,” the Lord said. So David went to
Hebron…then the men of Judah came to
Hebron and anointed David as king of Judah.”

Note: Lord gave specific instructions for David to go to Hebron. At
Hebron, David was made king of Judah. Therefore, the time and place
was set in the election of a public representative.

The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for
Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State
by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by
Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of

THE BIBLICAL CONNECTION TO FUNDAMENTAL
PRINCIPLES Leviticus 23:3
“‘Six days shall work be done, but on the
seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy
convocation; you shall do no kind of work. It is
a Sabbath to Yahweh in all your dwellings.”
Note: Convocation is an assembly convoked, and it was
schedule once a week on the 7th day. The Sabbath means 7th
day of the week. It’s a day free from personal labor, but it also
required joining in a community assembly.
