WIDE AREA NETWORK (WAN) AND INTERNET - didactic equipment
The system must study all the problems related to technologies, standards, equipment and applications concerning the
connection networks in 'geographical' environments (WAN), the TCP/IP network and Internet. Objectives: Training of an
installation and maintenance technician for WAN Networks and Internet, able to:- know the principles, the standards
and the devices that are normally used in WANs- install private WANs and Internet access systems- program and
configure the devices for accessing WANs (routers)- maintain, troubleshoot and test WANsEducational Path: the

must be composed of a main board furnished with two metal stands.
The main board must show the structure of a WAN, the diagrams of the levels of the OSI model used in
internetworking, and must be supplied with connectors for the connection of the routers to the WAN, two Router
Serial type WAN interface V24/RS232. 4 RJ-45 connectors and a hardware key. Internetworking Operating System. The
trainer must be supplied with a theoretical and practical manual in English language and a software package.
