ABOUT THE PRESENTATION:
Before leaping into that technical solution, consider assessing your ECM/RIM state!
Has your organization performed a content management assessment recently or does it steer away from assessments
because the time and cost to perform them seem to outweigh the benefit?
Assessments help organizations integrate the ‘technology, people, process, and content’ components of their
information environments. They clarify a condition, benchmark a state, and connect the ‘dots’ found in different
components. Many types of assessments exist, including some that focus on defining strategy, measuring
performance, validating a design or understanding user needs.
In this workshop you’ll learn why Assessments are valuable and why they’re important include in your toolbox.
This is an interactive workshop. Please bring your questions about assessments and plan to assess
your organization’s RIM/ECM state using a sample integrated gap assessment.
Learning Objectives/Key takeaways:
 Recognize ‘Need to know’ Assessment concepts and details
 Identify common ECM and RIM assessments, their objectives, and when to perform them
 Become familiar with the Gap Assessment role and its benefits
 Sample one integrated ECM/RIM gap assessment approach
