INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S CLUB OF KYIV (IWCK) ANNUAL GRANT COMPETITION -- 2012 -GRANT GUIDELINES AND CRITERIA Guidelines: IWCK will issue grants to organizations to provide direct program services in the Kyiv district to the most marginalized persons in each of the four groups of target beneficiaries: Children, Women, Elderly, and the Disabled. The grants must directly benefit one of these target groups. Organizations interested in participating in the IWCK grants competition may request an application from IWCK by e-mail request at office@iwck.org or may download the application from the IWCK website at www.iwck.org. For organizations that have not received a grant from IWCK in previous years, an informational meeting outlining proposal guidelines and criteria will be held on Friday, January 16, 2015. This meeting will take place at the IWCK office, Pushkinskaya Ulitsa 39, apartment 51. If your organization would like to send a representative to the meeting, please contact the IWCK office via email, office@iwck.com, by January 9. Grant applications must be submitted to the IWCK office by 15:00 on Wednesday, January 28, 2015. Applications submitted after that time will not be accepted under any circumstances. Grant awards will be announced in March 2015. All applicants will receive a formal letter of IWCK’s grant award decisions. Once applications are submitted and the grants awarded, no additional explanation will be provided to applicants, however, all applicants are eligible to apply again in the following year’s grant competition. Eligibility Criteria: Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that are registered in Ukraine. Applicants (NGOs) must submit copies of statutes and registration documents (one copy of original document). The organization is neither a branch of a political party or engaged in any partisan or active military activities. The organization is required to contribute at least 15% of the total program budget, inkind and/or in cash. NGOs are encouraged to obtain community, corporate and/or local government contributions in cash or in-kind donations. Grant amounts cannot exceed a maximum of 300,000 UAH. The project should be of duration of one year or less. Applications must be submitted in English (two paper copies and an electronic version on a CD or memory stick). Organizations must be able to accept grant payments through wire transfer to a valid and official bank account. IWCK grants will NOT fund the following: Applications that do not directly benefit one of the target groups: Women, Children, the Elderly, and the Disabled. Applications from individuals Recurrent costs/operating expenses (e.g. rent, telephone, internet, etc., excepting food/feed) Office supplies and equipment for organizational operations Salaries Cultural projects Projects located outside of the Kyiv district Conferences or training unless provided directly to beneficiaries (we do not fund training the trainers) Travel Vehicles Project Evaluation Criteria: The Grant Review Committee of the IWCK Charity Committee will review qualified applications. While many organizations may meet the eligibility criteria stated above, qualifying proposals will be evaluated using the following criteria.
