I am looking for a desktop publishing and/or graphic art/design position in which I can use my
background and extensive experience to meet new challenges in the graphic arts field. I have strong
knowledge of desktop publications, layout, design placement, creating dynamic presentations, as well
as photographic techniques such as photo enhancement and photo manipulation.
I have specialized technical experience in print production as well as 508 compliant document
structures. These skills and abilities, as well as my old-school work ethic ensure that I can make
a significant contribution to an organization such as yours.
Currently, and prior to my position at GE Energy, I contracted work through the Creative Group in
Atlanta, GA. My contracts included PowerPoint presentations for the Manhattan Group, see see eye,
and T-Mobile, as well as doing desktop publishing work for Realm Advertising Agency.
In my previous position, I supported GE Energy Management as well as GE Power and Water,
and GE Oil and Gas. I use my skills to create high level PowerPoint presentations, creative graphics
for websites and conference materials, large scale conference displays, as well as materials such as
in GE maintenance workbooks, and fact sheets.
While employed as a graphic artist for Northrop Grumman, under contract to the Centers for Disease
Control, in Atlanta, Ga. Through the varied, challenging projects I had been assigned, I honed my
artistic talents and skills while developing a strong sense of responsibility and effective interpersonal
skills which enable me to contribute to project teams, even in high-pressure environments. In all of my
health marketing presentations projects, my motivation and energy compels me to work hard and
accomplish my clients’ goals. As a result, I have been presented with a number of awards for
excellence in individual performance as well as for outstanding teamwork.
While employed at Lockheed Martin Control Systems as a Marketing/Proposal Presentation Specialist,
I developed a solid foundation in the software programs and photo tools necessary to develop
dynamic and innovative proposals and presentations, as well as layout ads and large scale conference
display materials. I became accustomed to working in a deadline-oriented environment; at times, I
have worked around the clock to produce last minute presentations and proposals. Lockheed Martin
Corporate Executives and CEOs, the Boeing Company President, and other major aerospace
corporation presidents have viewed many of the presentations that I have developed. My work has
been used in presentations provided to members of congress and to First Lady Hillary Clinton during
one of her New York State Senate campaign stops.
