Proverbs 31:10-15 (The Proverbs 31 Woman)
Study Objectives. Learner will: (a) Know the qualities and value of a godly woman; (b) become more
intentional about practicing a godly lifestyle.
Introduction. Proverbs 31:10-31 is an acrostic poem exalting the honor and dignity of womanhood. As we
begin our study of this section, don’t forget that the wisdom and qualities described in Proverbs 31:10-31
are inspired by God. To that end, the qualities (and value) described in this section about godly character
and being a godly woman is applicable for all women irrespective of your marital status.

1. What is the question asked in Proverbs 31:10 and what is the woman worth?
2. Note the word “virtuous” in Proverbs 31:10 (NKJ). The adjective “virtuous” is used in different contexts
with reference to strength, ability, efficiency, wealth and valor.
