How does IT enable CNA to succeed? • CNA focuses on Property and Casualty, Life insurance and Reinsurance. CNA is structured so that the underwriters and marketers focus their efforts on growing profitable business. Underwriters need resources, such as complete account information (i.e., the total pieces of business that make up an account, the loss ratio, the total premium paid since policy inception, etc.) to analyze the business and drive the lines of business to profitability. How does IT enable CNA to succeed? (Continued) • Marketers need resources to determine how much business grew in a certain line, how much business is growing for profitable business segments to strategically analyze marketing plans. Here’s where we come in……. Information Technology manages most all other functions to run the business so that we support Underwriting and Marketing, providing the necessary tools and resources to grow CNA’s business profitably and increase shareholder value.
