• CNA's Information Technology Group partners with
the business -- in a dynamic and rewarding work
environment -- to deliver high quality, innovative
technology solutions that enable CNA Insurance
Company to be a great underwriting company in the
markets it chooses to serve.
• We do this to maximize shareholder value and to
increase CNA’s value to our other stakeholders.
How does IT enable CNA to succeed?
• CNA focuses on Property and Casualty, Life
insurance and Reinsurance.

CNA is structured so that the underwriters and
marketers focus their efforts on growing profitable
business.

Underwriters need resources, such as complete
account information (i.e., the total pieces of business
that make up an account, the loss ratio, the total
premium paid since policy inception, etc.) to analyze
the business and drive the lines of business to
profitability.
How does IT enable CNA to succeed?

business grew in a certain line, how much business is
growing for profitable business segments to
strategically analyze marketing plans.
