Major Areas of Accountability:
The Systems and Applications Engineer Consultant role will support
our broad technology consulting practice through involvement in a
variety of projects ranging from strategic planning to technical design
and implementation. This person will be involved with desktop,
virtualization and remote access strategy, planning, design and
implementation.
 Should have ability to review and diagnose systems and
applications, their use and methodology for deployment and
management.
 Ability to review applications settings and client needs, apply and
package them with client tools or potentially introduce new tools,
teach client staff packaging and deployment methodologies.
 Work with client staff to create and implement group policies
associated with application suites, balancing security and ease of
use.
 Review and design client remote access needs, including SSL
VPN’s, web publishing and access to virtual desktops.

Qualifications
Candidates must possess the following skills and/or attributes:
This position requires deep planning, design and implementation
expertise in the following areas:
 Client Systems Design & Deployment methodologies (Windows 7
preferred)
 Citrix XenDesktop
 Application packaging – Flexera, VBScript, Wise
 Citrix XenApp
 Citrix NetScaler/Access Gateway or other VPN implementations
 Desktop builds (including Windows 7 preferred)
 Current Microsoft Windows 7 certifications
Additional areas which are greatly desirable are:
 Application Virtualization tools - Citrix XenApp, ThinApp, Altiris SVS,
Microsoft App-V
 Work with VDI solutions - VMWare or Citrix XenDesktop
 User virtualization tools – Appsense, Liquidware, Citrix Profile
Manager
 Xenserver
 VMWare ESX through 4.1
 Systems Center Configuration Manager
 Document Management Software (Filesite, Hummingbird DM) and
Microsoft Office Suite integration
 Minimum 7 years experience in consulting with the above
technologies required
Subject matter expertise and certifications in any of the following
areas is a plus:
 Current Microsoft Certifications
 Citrix Certifications (Xenapp, Xendesktop, Xenserver,
Netscaler/Access Gateway)
 VMware Certifications
 Monitoring system design (Systems Center, Solarwinds Compuware,
Tivoli, etc.)
 Good/practical technical judgment and troubleshooting skills.
 Experience with centralization, consolidation and virtualization of
servers, storage and overall IT architecture with supporting work in
disaster recovery planning and implementation is a major plus.
 Experience with the above in the legal industry is also a significant
plus.

Education and Previous Work Experience:
 Bachelors Degree, preferably in Computer Science or equitable
experience.
